A strategic and solutions-focused tax professional committed to helping clients navigate complex challenges with confidence.

Nick takes a holistic and commercially grounded approach to his work, assisting clients with tax disputes, restructures and superannuation matters. He combines technical rigour with a practical mindset, analysing complex issues to deliver advice that is both effective and outcome-driven.

He is experienced in managing ATO and SRO disputes, including objections, voluntary disclosures and penalty remissions, and advising on business restructures for SMEs and family groups.

Clients value Nick’s dependable and strategic approach, as well as his empathy and integrity when guiding them through high-stakes or sensitive matters. Nick’s ability to simplify complex tax problems while keeping sight of the broader commercial picture makes him a trusted contributor to every engagement.

Nick holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from Deakin University. Prior to joining Velocity Legal, he worked as a Tax Advisor at a multi disciplinary accounting and law firm, gaining experience across both technical tax advisory and practical dispute resolution.

• Negotiated a remission of a superannuation liability, reducing an ATO assessment from more than $2.5 million to $150,000 and securing full penalty remission.

• Successfully objected to several years of ATO default assessments totalling $770,000, reducing the client’s liability to under $50,000 with full remission of interest and penalties.

• Assisted clients in complex ATO and SRO matters, including objections, voluntary disclosures, penalty remissions, and general interest charge disputes.

• Provided tax advice on business restructures, capital gains, deceased estates, and superannuation matters for SMEs and family groups.
