Tyson holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Bachelor of Commerce (Corporate Finance), and a Diploma of Languages (Mandarin). He is also a member of The Tax Institute.

• Successfully persuaded the ATO to withdraw default assessments totalling $4.5 million, eliminating all client exposure in an audit spanning multiple years.
• Secured a full exemption under the small business CGT concessions for a $40 million primary production property sale, achieving a tax saving of approximately $9.4 million.
• Acted in a Victorian payroll tax review, reducing the client’s reassessment exposure from more than $1.4 million to approximately $300,000.
• Advising on complex ATO investigations, state revenue reviews and audits involving land tax, transfer duty, foreign surcharge taxes and payroll tax.
• Managing ongoing ATO dispute involving default assessments exceeding $3 million and complex multi-entity property holdings.
