Supporting the Royal Children’s Hospital: Our 2025 Donation

Key Insights
  • Velocity Legal has donated $8,482.18 to the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation in 2025.

  • The donation contributes to the hospital’s Fly for the Kids campaign, a bold mission to raise $4.5 million for advanced therapies, infrastructure and specialist staffing.

  • Funds will support the RCH’s four key priority areas: patient and family care, equipment and technology, leadership and training, and research.

Each year, Velocity Legal nominates and votes on a charity to support with a portion of our profits. This annual tradition combines business performance with purposeful giving, ensuring our success is shared with the wider community.

In 2025, we are proud to present a cheque for $8,482.18 to the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH).

Where the Funds Will Go

All donations to the RCH Foundation support four key areas at the hospital:

  • Patient and Family Centred Care
  • Equipment and Technology
  • Leadership, Education and Training
  • Research

Funds such as ours enable the hospital to deliver world class treatment, access to life-saving equipment and technology, groundbreaking research, and the best in patient-centred care.

This year’s donation also supports the RCH’s major fundraising initiative, Fly for the Kids: a bold mission to raise $4.5 million for the hospital. Led by Associate Professor Andrew Kornberg, a Senior Neurologist at RCH, the campaign will see him fly solo across Australia in a single engine plane to raise funds for advanced therapies and specialist infrastructure.

Why This Matters

The Royal Children’s Hospital is one of Australia’s leading paediatric hospitals. Donations help fund initiatives that cannot be supported by government funding alone including equipment upgrades, specialist programs, and life changing research.

For us, giving is not just an annual gesture. It’s a collective commitment, guided by the voices of our team, to ensure that the causes we support are meaningful to both our business and our people.

This recognition of shared purpose reminds us that business is at its best when it drives positive change.

Looking Ahead

We extend our gratitude to our clients, colleagues, and partners whose support makes contributions like this possible. Each year, our giving initiative strengthens our connection to the community and reinforces our responsibility to give back.

We look forward to following the RCH Foundation’s Fly for the Kids journey and seeing how this donation helps make a difference for children and families across Australia. Learn more about the campaign at flyforthekids.org.au
