Daniel Urbans

Daniel plays a central role in overseeing and strengthening Velocity Legal’s operational performance, systems, and strategy. As General Manager, he works across the firm to improve how the business functions day to day, with a focus on efficiency, scalability and strong client outcomes.

Daniel brings a broad and distinctive range of experience to the role. Before moving into operations, he practised as a solicitor in Velocity Legal’s Disputes and Insolvency team, giving him a deep understanding of the practical demands of legal work and client service. Beyond legal practice, Daniel has built experience across a range of commercial environments, including the operation and management of his own businesses, through his work as an audio engineer, and his experience in sales. This combination allows Daniel to approach operational challenges with commercial awareness, technical fluency, and creativity. Daniel has a particular interest in harnessing legal technology to develop innovative and effective strategies to improve internal processes and enhance the service delivered to clients. He is driven by continuous improvement and enjoys identifying smarter ways to connect people, systems, and ideas to achieve better outcomes.

Daniel holds a Juris Doctor from Monash University and a Bachelor of Audio Engineering.
