Award Winning Law Firm – Top Specialist Firm & Top Boutique Firm (Australasian Lawyer)

Victoria leads Velocity Legal’s Family Law team. She is an Accredited Specialist in Family Law and advises individuals and families across a broad range of family law matters, with particular expertise in complex financial cases.

Victoria helps clients navigate separation and family law disputes with clear advice, sound judgement and a practical focus on what comes next.

She understands that every client’s circumstances differ. Some matters require a straightforward division of property or a carefully negotiated agreement. Others involve businesses, trusts, complex ownership arrangements or contested court proceedings. Victoria adapts her advice to the circumstances, priorities and concerns of each client. Her earlier experience in commercial litigation and corporate advisory gives her an added depth of understanding when financial or business issues become more complicated. It also informs her practical approach to risk, negotiation and decision-making.

Victoria advises on property settlements, Binding Financial Agreements, spousal maintenance, superannuation and related family law matters. Her work ranges from matters involving a family home, savings and superannuation through to substantial asset pools and complex financial structures. She also advises on parenting issues that arise as part of broader family law proceedings. Victoria is an experienced litigator, but she does not treat court proceedings as the default. She uses negotiation and alternative dispute resolution where they offer a sensible path to agreement.

Victoria’s approach is centred on client empowerment. She helps clients break difficult decisions into manageable steps, solve problems as they arise and feel less overwhelmed by the process. Victoria recognises that a good family lawyer must understand more than the legal issues. She takes the time to understand what matters to each client, whether that involves protecting financial security, reaching workable parenting arrangements or bringing a difficult chapter to a close.

Whether a matter is relatively straightforward or highly complex, Victoria combines careful preparation with strategic judgement and a genuine understanding of the personal impact of family law proceedings.
