Adam Colquhoun

Adam is an employment law expert. He is passionate about solving challenging workplace relations issues, and has a wealth of experience in advising employers in a strategic and methodical manner.
 
Originally from country Victoria, Adam started out as an Industrial Officer at the Victorian Farmers Federation before completing his Masters of Industrial and Employee Relations, and later a law degree at Monash University.
 
Following his admission as a lawyer, Adam worked at a number of law firms, including one of Australia’s fastest growing national law firms and a mid-tier based in Melbourne, before starting his own workplace law firm, WestmoreJacobs® in 2017. Adam brought his practice and team over to Velocity Legal in 2021 and continues to focus on what he does best – assisting employers to deal with difficult workplace relations issues through precise and thorough legal services and advice.
 
Given the technical complexity of workplace disputes, Adam doesn’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach. Instead, Adam challenges himself to find the best tailored approach to the situation at hand. He reckons this approach gets his clients better results. We reckon he’s right.
 
When Adam is not advising employers solve complex problems he is spending time with his family. He also a proud member of the 4WD Pajero Club and enjoys helping out at his local football club.
